[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] Kang Min-jung and Kim Eui-gyeom, members of the Open Democratic Party, held a press conference on the 8th in front of the main stairs of the National Assembly building regarding the theses written by Kim Geon-hee, wife of former Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol. Lawmaker Kim Eui-gyeom raised suspicions about unauthorized excerpts from others' works and incorrect citation issues, urging thorough investigations by Kookmin University, academic societies, and the Ministry of Education.

A Kookmin University official also stated, “We have formed a research ethics committee concerning the allegations of research misconduct in Ms. Kim’s doctoral dissertation,” adding, “We are preparing to initiate a preliminary investigation.”
