Nowon-gu Successfully Hosts '21. Healing Nowon Network Party' to Revitalize Community Cohesion

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) held the '21 Healing Nowon Network Party' at 10 a.m. on the 6th in the small auditorium on the 6th floor of Nowon-gu Office.

This event was organized as a place to share the activities of project leaders selected through the 2021 first half village community public contest project and to revitalize the village network.

The event consisted of a total of 20 teams: 14 teams in the Seed Stage, which is the resident group formation stage, 4 teams in the Execution Stage, and 2 teams in the Village Living Subgroup. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the number of participants was limited to 1-2 people per team, and the event was conducted in compliance with quarantine guidelines.

The event included ▲introductions and activity presentations of each contest project group ▲joint performances by project leaders ▲promotion of Nowon-gu Village Community Support Center projects.

This year, various projects related to COVID-19 attracted attention.

Reflecting the growing interest in the environment, projects such as ▲Our Earth, We Save It. Save Us! Earth ▲Creating a Clean Environment with EM drew attention.

Also, various projects aimed at overcoming the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic were introduced, including ▲COVID Blue Eradication Group (CoBlue) ▲Reading Books to Overcome COVID-19.

Project leaders who participated in the contest shared the projects they had conducted and spent time meeting and communicating, strengthening their will to create a village where neighbors communicate and live together.

Meanwhile, the district has been making many efforts to support so that many people can take an interest in and engage in village activities through the annual village community public contest projects.

The Village Community Support Project is open to anyone interested in villages and people. If a resident group with at least three representative proposers submits a project proposal, it is reviewed and selected groups receive project funding. Each group is supported with 500,000 to 3,000,000 KRW.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “I hope that the relationships between neighbors, which have become distant due to COVID-19, will be restored through the village community support project,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to support various village community projects to promote communication among neighbors and build village community networks.”
