Hyundai Motor Group Launches Full-Scale Operation of Electric Vehicle Ultra-Fast Charging Station 'Euljiro Center One E-pit'

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 5th that it has established an ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station, 'Euljiro Center One E-pit,' at the Mirae Asset Center One building in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul, and has begun full-scale operation.

The Euljiro Center One E-pit is an ultra-fast electric vehicle charging station prepared through collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group and Mirae Asset Global Investments to contribute to the activation of electric vehicle distribution in Korea.

Located on the second basement floor of Mirae Asset Center One, the Euljiro Center One E-pit is equipped with four chargers capable of ultra-fast charging up to 260 kW and two chargers capable of rapid charging up to 100 kW.

Additionally, lighting interior guides the entry route from the parking lot entrance to the charging space, and a parking barrier that recognizes license plates for electric vehicles has been applied.

Hyundai Motor Group will also open the E-pit charging station to customers using electric vehicles from other manufacturers. Electric vehicles adopting the domestic charging standard Combo1 as the basic charging method can be charged regardless of the manufacturer. The Euljiro Center One E-pit operates 24 hours a day, year-round.

A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "The Euljiro Center One E-pit is an electric vehicle charging station that shows the direction of existing urban facilities changing in line with the electric vehicle era," and added, "Hyundai Motor Group will continue to enhance customer charging convenience along with the launch of various electric vehicles such as the Ioniq 5, EV6, and G80 electrified models."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Group operates a total of 72 chargers by installing E-pit charging stations at 12 highway rest areas nationwide in April, and plans to sequentially introduce urban-type E-pit charging stations in Incheon, Daejeon, Jeju, and other locations in the second half of this year.
