[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Choyoung] Hong Joon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party, expressed his frustration, saying "Politics is really difficult," in response to criticism arising from his appearance on broadcaster Kim Eo-jun's radio program and interviews with progressive-leaning media outlets.
On the 4th, Hong posted on his Facebook, "They say I lack expansiveness, yet when I appear on opposition camp current affairs programs, give interviews to opposition newspapers, and have discussions with former professors Yoo Si-min and Jin Joong-kwon to communicate, they criticize me asking why I appear on such programs and why I debate with such people," he said.
He added, "Politics is a process of integration, not dividing sides," and "Following last week's appearance on Kim Eo-jun's broadcast, I will be on Joo Jin-woo's talk show this Wednesday evening."
Reporter Joo Jin-woo, a former member of the same podcast broadcast 'Naneun Kkomsuda' as Kim, is regarded as a leading speaker of the progressive camp.
He currently hosts KBS Radio's 'Joo Jin-woo Live.'
