[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Nine preliminary candidates for the Democratic Party presidential election will hold the national interview as scheduled at 2 p.m. on the 4th.

The national interview will be conducted in the concept of a presidential job applicant interview, consisting of a blind interview where citizen interviewers ask questions and a 1-on-3 focused interview.

Among the three interviewers who will ask questions in the 1-on-3 focused interview, accountant Kim Kyung-yul, author of the 'Cho Kuk Black Book,' and Kim So-yeon, CEO of Newnik (a newsletter startup), have expressed their intention to resign, and former lawmaker Yoo In-tae also declined, casting a red light on the event's success. However, Assistant Professor Jung Soo-kyung of the Graduate School of International Legal Management and reporter Cheon Gwan-yul replaced the vacant positions. Including former lawmaker Kim Hae-young, the three?Assistant Professor Jung, reporter Cheon, and Kim?will conduct the interview on the day.

Candidates do not have the right to refuse to answer, and 200 citizen interviewers randomly selected will evaluate the interview in real time.

The event will be attended by Democratic Party leader Song Young-gil, party election commission chairman Lee Sang-min, Chungbuk Provincial Party Committee chairman Lee Jang-seop, strategic planning committee chairman Song Gap-seok, and spokesperson of the presidential primary planning group Lee So-young.
