38.2% Cost Reduction with Package Renewal

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Sejong Telecom announced on the 28th that its budget phone brand Snowman is participating in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives by producing SIM card packages using eco-friendly recycled paper.
Snowman, which consumes hundreds of thousands of SIM cards annually, will save 38.2% in costs each year through the production of eco-friendly packaging. The design has also been simplified from the existing three-fold to a single sheet, highlighting the Snowman character on the front, while the back includes a SIM card holder and detailed information such as network selection and activation number, thereby reducing resource usage.
The SIM card package is Snowman’s first promotional material made with eco-friendly recycled paper. Gradually, shopping bags, delivery boxes, and various promotional items will also be produced using sustainable materials, with plans to introduce additional eco-packages featuring Snowman’s unique signature.
To commemorate the package renewal, Snowman is holding the ‘Data More DREAM, 100-Year Discount DREAM’ event, offering additional data and up to 56.6% discount on fees. The event plans include lowering prices on eight plans: ▲ Snowman Basic (additional 4GB data) from 27,390 KRW to 18,700 KRW, ▲ LTE Data Select 10G (additional 150GB data) from 49,390 KRW to 32,950 KRW, and ▲ White (additional 50GB data) from 35,200 KRW to 25,300 KRW.
The plans are available for new subscriptions, number porting, and device changes, and can be checked on the Snowman official mall website as well as at post offices nationwide and Daiso stores. Additionally, a promotion is ongoing where popular foldable phones among students and dual-phone (two-phone) users can be purchased for 0 KRW.
The Galaxy Folder 2 (SM-G160) device is free with a two-year contract on the ‘Voice 80 Plan’ and is sold for 121,000 KRW without a contract. The LG Folder 2 (LGM-Y120) device is free with a two-year contract on the ‘Smart 300M Plan’ and can be purchased for 108,000 KRW without a contract.
