[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Two police officers belonging to the Mapo Police Station in Seoul tested positive for COVID-19 after receiving their first dose of the vaccine.
According to the police on the 25th, Officer A, a sergeant at Mapo Station, was classified as a close contact of a confirmed case and underwent a COVID-19 test at a health center the previous day, resulting in a positive diagnosis. Sergeant B, who works in the same office as Officer A, also tested positive.
It was confirmed that Officer A and Sergeant B each received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in June and April respectively, but had not received their second dose.
Mapo Police Station conducted disinfection throughout the entire building and closed some areas. Additionally, all staff members were instructed to undergo COVID-19 testing.
