[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] NH Nonghyup Card announced on the 25th that it conducted volunteer labor support over two days, on the 24th and 25th, to assist farms struggling with labor shortages and to practice win-win management.
On the 24th, about 20 NH Nonghyup Card employees participated in grape bagging work at a grape farm located in Bongdam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. On the 25th, they visited a pumpkin farm in Gandong-myeon, Hwacheon-gun, Gangwon-do, to help with tasks such as removing side shoots from pumpkins.
The employees who participated in the volunteer work also cleaned up the surrounding area and held a meeting to listen to the residents' difficulties. Additionally, as part of a campaign to promote agricultural product consumption, they purchased pumpkins they had grown themselves to support farmers facing difficulties due to decreased agricultural product sales caused by COVID-19.
An NH Nonghyup Card official said, "We prepared this volunteer labor support with the intention of providing some help to farms struggling with labor shortages," adding, "We will continue to develop various support measures to ease the concerns of farmers."
