"Popular Works All Collected.zip" OTT Season, First Half Year Review 'HOT2021' Released

KT's online video service (OTT) Seezn announced on the 25th that it has revealed the ranking of the most searched content by genre in 2021 and opened a special feature called 'HOT 2021' summarizing the first half of the year.


First, entertainment content stood out in the first half of the year. Seezn's most popular entertainment program was "Hangout with Yoo?" which has recently attracted viewers' attention with "MSG Wannabe." Following were Sunday evening entertainment stronghold "Running Man" and the life observation entertainment steady seller "I Live Alone," ranking 2nd and 3rd respectively. The military survival program "Steel Troops," where elite special forces veterans form teams and fight for their unit's honor, settled at 7th place.


In the drama genre, "Penthouse 2," which garnered high ratings and increasing attention with each episode, took first place. Following were "Mouse," "Vincenzo," and "True Beauty" at 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places.


In the movie genre, "Minari," which gained attention with actress Youn Yuh-jung's Oscar Best Supporting Actress win, ranked first. Other popular films among Seezn customers in the first half included "Collectors," showcasing fantastic teamwork of grave robbers; "Secret Zoo," a secret communication operation that makes audiences laugh and cry; and "The Book of Fish," starring Sol Kyung-gu and Byun Yo-han.


This special feature gathering popular works will be available until June 7. It can be viewed through Seezn Basic monthly subscription and single purchases. Some content is available for free to anyone who logs into the app regardless of the telecom provider.


Besides the genre-based popularity rankings, KT Seezn also curated content themed around this year's first half content issue keywords such as "Comedy Alter Ego," "Investment Craze," "Seasonal Dramas and Entertainment," "Trending Figures," and "Rising Stars."
