Open Recruitment for 3 Fields Including Practical Democratic Citizenship School, 8 Program Operators... Applications Accepted Until July 7... Lifelong Education Institutions, Nonprofit Corporations/Organizations, Cooperatives Eligible to Apply
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) is publicly recruiting operating institutions for the ‘2021 Lifelong Learning City Excellent Program’ until July 7th to ensure that all residents can learn anytime and anywhere.
This project is being promoted with the budget secured after Dongjak-gu was selected for the Ministry of Education’s “Regional Lifelong Education Activation Support Project” in 2021.
Operators will be recruited across a total of 3 fields and 8 programs: ▲ Practicing Democratic Citizen School (1 program) ▲ Learning-Work-Leisure Stepping Stone Tomorrow JOB (4 programs) ▲ After-work Learning Vitamin (3 programs).
The district plans to support about 4.5 million KRW per program as operating expenses (instructor fees, textbooks, and materials used for lectures) for four months from August to November after screening in July for the selected lifelong education programs.
Eligibility includes ▲ lifelong education institutions in Dongjak-gu based on the Lifelong Education Act ▲ non-profit corporations and organizations related to lifelong education with addresses in Dongjak-gu ▲ cooperatives in Dongjak-gu under the Framework Act on Cooperatives ▲ social enterprises in Dongjak-gu under the Social Enterprise Promotion Act, and other institutions and organizations capable of operating lifelong education programs.
Institutions (organizations) wishing to operate lifelong education programs can prepare the application form and plan for the public offering project, gather the required documents, and submit them by visiting the Education Policy Division of the district office or via mail and email.

Meanwhile, depending on the COVID-19 spread situation, this education will be operated both online and offline, with offline lectures conducted at the respective institutions.
