[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in stated on the 24th in a post on social networking service (SNS) that "the first electric cargo vehicle ‘Danigo Van’ from the Gunsan-type job project in Jeonbuk has finally been released. This is very joyful news."

President Moon explained, "The small electric cargo vehicle ‘Danigo Van’ will produce 3,000 units by the end of the year, and next year, plans are in place to produce everything from ultra-small electric carts to large electric buses and electric trucks."

In particular, President Moon evaluated, "The Gunsan-type job project received great attention as the nation's first win-win job model involving both major labor unions, and with the efforts of local governments and government support added, the project gained momentum."

President Moon said, "Myungshin Gunsan Plant and the complete vehicle and parts companies in the Saemangeum Industrial Complex plan to invest more than 500 billion won and produce 240,000 electric vehicles by 2024, creating more than 1,700 jobs. We expect this to greatly contribute to the livelihood economy of Gunsan and the Jeonbuk region, and I send my congratulations."
