He said, "During the time I stayed outside, I reflected on myself

and only thought about the future of the Republic of Korea," emphasizing, "This return will be a new starting point for the remainder of my political journey."

Representative Hong stated, "We are currently going through the '5 years we want to erase' following the past 'Lost Decade of 10 years,'" and added, "We bear the historic responsibility to end this unwanted period and to continue a new history of achievement and positivity."

He said, "We must prevent one-party dominance, lack of communication, and double standards, and restore politics of dialogue and compromise," adding, "Economic actors are suffering as experimental subjects due to economic policies fixed on ideology. We must turn the cart of prosperity and growth again by basing on economic liberalization and supplementing it with economic democratization."

Representative Hong also expressed special gratitude to Lee Jun-seok, the leader of the People Power Party. He said, "I deeply thank the people and party members who united their strength to allow me to return to the party, as well as the Supreme Council members including Party Leader Lee Jun-seok," and added, "We must achieve regime change by electing a presidential candidate with unprecedented young leadership in our constitutional and party history, moral integrity in self-cultivation, and prepared experience."
