Jeonnam Fire Department and Coast Guard Strengthen Joint Emergency Response and Cooperation System for Urgent Reports

Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 23rd that it held a meeting to strengthen the joint emergency call response and cooperation system between the fire department and the Coast Guard at the comprehensive situation room of the Seohae Regional Coast Guard.

The meeting was organized to build mutual trust and protect the lives and property of residents through efficient on-site situation management.

Park Haksoon, Director of the 119 Comprehensive Situation Room, and Park Kyungchae, Director of the Seohae Regional Coast Guard Comprehensive Situation Room, attended.

At this meeting, the fire department and the Coast Guard agreed to seek ways to actively provide safety services to residents and to continuously expand them.

They also discussed strengthening the cooperation system for mutual trust and information sharing between the two agencies regarding helicopter transport of emergency patients in island areas through practical consultations for rapid and efficient joint emergency call response.

Park Haksoon, Director of the 119 Comprehensive Situation Room, emphasized, "Establishing a close cooperation system among related agencies in the event of a disaster is a key matter," adding, "From the stage of receiving disaster reports, each agency should secure the golden time through information sharing and response, and work together to protect the lives and property of residents."

Meanwhile, as of last month, the number of 119 calls was 216,681, of which 948 cases involved transfer and joint response between fire and Coast Guard reports.
