[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] The Gimhae City Women's Center in Gyeongnam announced on the 23rd that it is recruiting 10 multicultural working mom families to operate the 'Uri Da(多)gachi Yori Jori' program.
This program is designed for multicultural families to experience making Korean food, learn seasonal dishes, and understand Korean food culture to strengthen family bonds.
The schedule runs over two weeks on July 11 and 18, with two sessions per day.
On the first day, participants will make chicken barbecue, quail, ham, and potato salad, and seasoned dried shredded squid (jinmichae muchim). On the second day, the menu includes doenjang bulgogi, cold chicken breast salad, and seasoned crunchy chili peppers (asak-i gochu muchim). Each session is limited to 5 families (15 people), and participation is free of charge.
For more detailed information about the program, please contact the Gimhae City Women's Center.
Director Kim Jun-young said, "Through operating this cooking program for multicultural families, we aim to assist multicultural working moms and their families who find making Korean food challenging," and added, "We hope many multicultural families will participate."
