Passed Business Reauthorization Review through SME Coexistence, Ethical Management, and Fair Trade System Establishment
Preparing for the Next Decade with New Growth Engines
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] "To overcome the rapidly changing business environment and excessive competition, all employees should demonstrate passion and effort to prepare for the next 10 years." On the 23rd, Kim Ok-chan, CEO of Home&Shopping, delivered a message to employees about the future direction on the occasion of his first anniversary in office.
On this day, CEO Kim encouraged employees through the company-wide bulletin board, saying, "Despite the challenging environment, we have successfully realized the founding purpose of coexistence with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by maintaining an 80% programming ratio of SMEs, industry-lowest commission rates, and expanding sales channel support."
Since his inauguration last year, CEO Kim has consistently emphasized not forgetting Home&Shopping's founding purpose of national economic development through fostering SMEs. As a result, the cumulative product order amount from 'Ilsacheonri,' Home&Shopping's representative SME sales support program, has exceeded 100 billion KRW.
Additionally, CEO Kim prioritized compliance and ethical management as the top tasks, personally overseeing detailed items such as ▲introduction of the Fair Trade Compliance Program ▲establishment of the Code of Ethics ▲reorganization of the Grievance System. As a result of these efforts, Home&Shopping passed the re-approval review and received a 5-year approval certificate from the Ministry of Science and ICT.
Home&Shopping plans to discover new growth engines and promote business diversification this year, marking it as the first year for a greater leap forward while continuing to realize coexistence with SMEs. CEO Kim said, "Taking this re-approval review as a turning point, we will not lose our original intention for mutual growth with SMEs and will prepare for the next 10 years of re-leap with a renewed mindset," adding, "I will lead by example at Home&Shopping's new starting point."
