Virtual Simulation Training on June 22 to Prepare for All Situations in the Vaccination Process... Additional Gwangjin-gu Vaccination Center Opening on July 5 at Junggok Culture and Sports Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seongap) conducted a simulation drill on the 22nd in preparation for the additional opening of a vaccination center within the Junggok Culture and Sports Center on July 5.
This simulation drill was designed to carry out all situations of the vaccination process as if in a real scenario, to supplement any deficiencies before the center opens, and to ensure smooth progress of the vaccination.
On this day, medical and emergency personnel, administrative staff, and related organizations participated, with roles assigned to each participant such as civil complaint response, vaccine management, vaccination progress, and adverse reaction management, proceeding as if in an actual situation.
In particular, 50 tongjang (neighborhood leaders) from 8 neighborhoods within Gwangjin-gu directly participated in this drill, taking on the role of vaccination recipients.
First, the district inspected the vaccination center facilities, personnel, and operational status, then demonstrated the busy process of nurses preparing the vaccine and filling syringes, followed by the visit of vaccination recipients, registration, preliminary examination, vaccination, and computerized registration.
Finally, the district conducted a virtual drill process to prepare for adverse reactions after vaccination, from patient occurrence to rapid response team call, emergency treatment, and transfer to medical institutions, followed by listening to the evaluation committee's opinions and a Q&A session.
Mayor Kim Seongap said, “We are opening an additional Junggok vaccination center so that residents can participate in vaccination quickly and nearby. Through this simulation drill, we hope to carefully review every step of the vaccination process and do our best to ensure smooth vaccination.”
He added, “I also hope everyone present here actively participates in vaccination and diligently practices prevention measures so that Gwangjin-gu can be a safe area from COVID-19.”
Meanwhile, the district is making every effort to ensure residents can receive vaccinations safely and promptly ahead of the third quarter vaccination implementation.
In particular, since vaccinations will be officially conducted from July for general residents aged 18 to 59, the district plans to open additional vaccination centers in preparation for vaccination demand and promote vaccinations in line with government policies.
