Hankook Tire Ranked 6th in '2020 Leading Tire Companies' by UK Tire Industry Magazine

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 22nd that it ranked 6th in the 2020 Global Leading Tire Companies ranking selected by the UK tire magazine 'Tyrepress.'

Hankook Tire achieved sales of 6.454 trillion KRW last year, surpassing Pirelli to take 6th place. Along with the rise in the global tire company rankings last year, operating profit also increased by about 15.5% compared to the previous year. In particular, the sales proportion of high-inch passenger car tires over 18 inches, which global leading tire companies are focusing on, rose by 3 percentage points to about 35% compared to the previous year.

Hankook Tire also received top evaluations in tire comparison tests conducted by European automotive magazines in Germany, the UK, and other countries. In the 2020 Best Seller Brand announced by the European e-commerce platform 'Tire24' based on consumer surveys, it ranked first in the all-season, summer, and winter tire categories.

In addition, Hankook Tire is expanding its partnerships through new car tire supply contracts with premium automakers such as Porsche’s pure electric vehicle Taycan, Audi Q series top model RS Q8, Audi coupe-style sedan RS7 Sportback, and super wagon RS6 Avant.
