KOTRA to Hold 'K-Smart City Cooperation Week' for One Week Starting from the 23rd

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunjin Jeong] KOTRA announced on the 22nd that it will hold the 'K-Smart City Cooperation Week' online for one week starting from the 23rd.

The event consists of a webinar held on the 23rd and an online consultation meeting conducted for a week from the 24th. The webinar can be viewed by anyone through the YouTube channel 'KOTRA Business.'

During the webinar, information on major local projects and entry strategies discovered by four Smart City Cooperation Centers jointly operated by KOTRA and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which opened last year in KOTRA trade offices in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, and Turkey, will be introduced. Additionally, information on the newly opened Saudi Arabia Cooperation Center this year, along with large-scale smart city projects such as the NEOM new city, will also be delivered.

In the online consultation meeting, about 70 leading domestic companies in key smart city sectors such as transportation, environment, and e-government will participate and hold consultations with local government officials and buyers discovered by the five cooperation centers.

KOTRA's Innovation Growth Headquarters Director Kim Sangmuk said, "We will strive to discover local project information so that the cooperation centers can serve as a focal point for our smart city companies' overseas expansion," adding, "In particular, we will strengthen demand-driven support projects based on local project information to create successful cases of smart city overseas expansion."
