[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] The Jung-gu Council of Seoul (Chairman Jo Young-hoon) has been conducting an administrative audit covering the overall district administration since the 15th.

The purpose of the administrative audit is to promote the welfare of district residents and the development of district administration by conducting a comprehensive audit of the executive branch's administration, correcting illegal or improper administrative actions, and suggesting improvement measures and proper policy directions for unreasonable systems or issues.

In preparation for the administrative audit, council members of each standing committee have thoroughly prepared for a detailed audit by conducting several site visits since May.

Over a total of seven days until the 23rd of this month, the Administrative and Health Committee (Chairman Park Young-han, members Ko Mun-sik, Lee Hye-young, Kim Haeng-seon) will audit the Audit Officer, Health Center, Economic-Friendly Bureau, Administrative Support Bureau, Jung-gu Facilities Management Corporation, and Dong Community Centers. The Welfare and Construction Committee (Chairman Gil Ki-young, members Lee Hwa-mook, Yoon Pan-oh, Lee Seung-yong) will audit the Life Safety Officer, Citizen-Friendly Bureau, Life Welfare-Friendly Bureau, and Life City-Friendly Bureau.

On the 23rd, the Council Operation Committee (Chairman Lee Seung-yong, members Gil Ki-young, Park Young-han, Kim Haeng-seon) will conduct an audit targeting the Council Secretariat, and an evaluation and review of outstanding issues by each standing committee will be held.

The committee members expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "We will do our best to conduct an administrative audit that sharply points out mistakes or corrective matters from the perspective of district residents, thereby promoting the welfare of residents and the development of district administration."

After the administrative audit, the 264th regular session will hold district administration questions and answers on June 24 and 25, respectively. From June 28 to 30, each standing committee will review agenda items, followed by the Budget and Accounts Special Committee's review on July 1 and 2, concluding all schedules with the plenary session on July 5.
