JNTC Completes Construction of State-of-the-Art Cover Glass Factory

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] JNTC has completed a factory for cutting-edge new cover glass products near Hanoi, Vietnam.

Leading 3D cover glass company JNTC announced on the 21st that it has completed its third factory in Vietnam. With this expansion, the company has laid the foundation to strengthen its position as a top-tier cover glass enterprise.

JNTC's Vietnamese subsidiary (JNTC Vina) constructed the new third factory near Hanoi, covering an area of 87,000㎡ (approximately 27,000 pyeong), which is equivalent to 12 soccer fields.

The third factory is equipped with innovative production facilities that not only expand cover glass capacity but also enable inline implementation of special element technologies applied to glass (such as coating, AR, AG, AF technologies). As a result, the company can manufacture glass of various sizes?small, medium, and large?and process the applied element technologies, securing a production system capable of meeting any customer needs.

A JNTC representative stated, “The third factory will be operated as a dedicated production plant for new items with promising future growth,” adding, “The completion of this facility is significant as it further strengthens the foundation for future new growth engines.”

The company’s new items include cover glass for smartwatches, automotive cover glass, and camera windows, with plans to begin full-scale mass production and supply in the second half of the year. Additionally, from the end of the year, the company aims to mass-produce ultra-thin glass (UTG) for foldable displays applying new technologies.
