Trump and Pence Split... US Conservative Group Calls Him a "Traitor"

The local media outlet 'Orlando Sentinel' reported on the 20th (local time) that "Former Vice President Pence participated in the 'Path to Majority' rally hosted by the conservative Christian group Faith and Freedom Coalition (FFC) held on the 18th in Kissimmee, Florida."

The rally, held to pledge the conservative faction's victory in next year's midterm elections, was attended by major Republican figures including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is considered a leading candidate for the next presidential election, as well as federal senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Marsha Blackburn, and Rick Scott.

When former Vice President Pence, who is mentioned as a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, took the stage at the rally, boos erupted among the participants. Some shouted "traitor," disrupting his speech.

However, Pence ignored the boos and said, "We must defeat the Democrats' extremists and strive for all Americans to enjoy faith and freedom," adding, "The path to majority starts right here."

He praised the Trump administration's achievements in handling COVID-19 and vaccine production operations as "miraculous." He briefly mentioned the January 6 Capitol riot, which was the turning point that led to his split with former President Trump.

Former Vice President Pence has faced criticism from Trump supporters since he publicly refused President Trump's directive to stop certifying Joe Biden's presidential victory at that time.
