KB Securities also launches new MTS... Introducing 'Banilla' for easy stock trading

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] KB Securities is launching a new Mobile Trading System (MTS) called 'Vanilla.'

On the 21st, KB Securities announced that it has released the new MTS 'Vanilla' through 'Project Vanilla,' a tech-finance (technology + finance) company established last September in partnership with Zoom Internet.

'Vanilla' was developed to allow anyone to trade stocks as easily as shopping. A KB Securities official explained, "The reason we used the name 'Vanilla' for both the company and the app is to follow the philosophy of 'plain vanilla,' which means simple financial products without complexity."

Compared to existing securities firms' MTS, the complex classification system has been greatly simplified, and the screen is focused on the items investors most frequently look for, such as watchlists and personal asset status, as well as essential functions for stock trading.

Additionally, based on features such as ▲simple sign-up and account opening process ▲investor-tailored content (Vanilla Pick) ▲shopping cart purchase ▲brand search, the platform provides an intuitive user experience (UX) and convenience throughout the entire process from account opening to stock trading.

The feature that received the most attention is 'Vanilla Pick.' It is a recommendation-based content created for investors who have had difficulties in selecting and searching for stocks. It offers easy-to-read content so users can easily understand information organized based on the latest investment trends and make investment decisions. It also provides ranking information of recommended stocks based on current returns, net purchases, and trading volume.

Moreover, the 'shopping cart' function allows users to purchase multiple stocks at once, and the 'search function' has been enhanced so that users can find stocks by searching for company names or Vanilla Pick.

The Android operating system (OS) version was released first this month, and the iOS application will be launched soon.

Junglim Park, CEO of KB Securities, said, "As we enter the era of 10 million stock investors, a simple investment platform tailored to the level of 'Joorini' (stock market beginners), who have become major customers in the stock market, was needed. We hope that the 'Vanilla' app will meet the expectations of these customers."
