The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that on the 18th, the entire country will be cloudy, with rain expected in the southern coastal areas of Jeollanam-do and Jeju Island due to a pressure trough passing over the southern sea at night, and showers in the southern part of the Gyeongbuk region due to atmospheric instability.
In areas where rain is falling, visibility will be reduced and roads will be slippery, so special attention should be paid to traffic safety.
Also, from night on the 18th to the morning of the 19th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected in some inland areas of the west coast, western Gyeonggi, and inland Chungnam, and light drizzle is expected in some parts of the west coast.
On the 19th, the sky will be mostly cloudy nationwide but will gradually clear from the morning, and on the 20th, the weather will be mostly clear nationwide, although it may be mostly cloudy in the Yeongdong region of Gangwon Province from the afternoon.
The morning temperatures on the 19th and 20th will be around 15 degrees Celsius, cool, but daytime temperatures will rise due to sunlight, with hot weather around 30 degrees Celsius mainly inland.
On the 19th, the expected morning low temperatures by region are 15 to 20 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs are expected to be 24 to 31 degrees Celsius. On the 20th, the expected morning lows are 14 to 21 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs are 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
From the afternoon of the 20th, high waves caused by swells will strongly hit the east coast, potentially overflowing coastal roads, rocky shores, and breakwaters. The Korea Meteorological Administration emphasized refraining from accessing coastal areas and paying close attention to safety accidents.
