Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Signs Integrity Agreement with New Head of Development Business Division

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Cha Min-sik, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 19th that it signed a new integrity contract with the newly appointed Choi Sang-heon, Head of the Development Project Division, following the existing management on the 17th.

The integrity contract is an agreement that stipulates the integrity obligations of executives and their responsibilities for violations, promising to practice them. It contributes to strengthening the integrity commitment of senior officials in the institution and establishing a clean public service culture.

Details include prohibitions on accepting money or valuables, forbidding solicitation and bribery, and prohibiting disclosure of confidential information during duty performance. Violations resulting in criminal punishment will lead to strong sanctions such as recovery of performance bonuses and dismissal.

President Cha Min-sik stated, “As a public institution executive, I must take the lead in performing duties fairly and transparently,” and expressed a strong will for ethical management by the management, saying, “We will not stop at correcting corruption but will firmly establish the value of integrity throughout life.”
