[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director Lee Sang-min) and the labor union (Chairman Moon Ji-hoon) held a joint shopping event on the morning of the 18th at Namchang Onggijongi Traditional Market in Ulsan.
The items purchased together by the management and union members will be donated as daily necessities to seven local children's centers in the southern region of Ulju-gun.
At the event, Saewool Headquarters, along with the heads of seven local children's centers in Ulju-gun, purchased daily necessities worth approximately 3.5 million KRW, revitalizing the local traditional market struggling due to COVID-19.
The daily necessities will be given as gifts to children in the areas of Seosaeng-myeon, Onyang-eup, Onsan-eup, and the surrounding Seosaeng-myeon area.
Director Lee Sang-min of Saewool Headquarters said, "I am pleased that this event helps both children facing economic difficulties and local merchants affected by COVID-19," adding, "We will continue to focus on revitalizing the local economy and supporting neighbors in need."
Moon Ji-hoon, Chairman of the Saewool Headquarters labor union, stated, "We will continue activities that meet the needs of local residents while ensuring nuclear power plant safety."
