[Asia Economy Reporter Geum Bo-ryeong] The formation of the working negotiation team to lead the merger between the People Power Party and the People Party has been completed.

On the 18th, the People Party announced that Kwon Eun-hee, floor leader, Kim Yoon, Seoul City Party Chair, and Kim Geun-tae, deputy spokesperson, were appointed as the integrated working negotiation team.

The People Power Party also released the list of its working negotiation team the day before. Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, explained to reporters after visiting Song Young-gil, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, "Assemblyman Sung Il-jong will serve as the head, and former assemblymen Oh Shin-hwan and Lee Jae-hyung have been confirmed as members of the working team."

Meanwhile, the People Party appointed 29 regional committee chairs as a result of the 103rd Supreme Council meeting held the day before. The People Party emphasized, seemingly aware of the controversy over 'equity demands,' that "the selection of regional committee chairs was made solely to strengthen the People Party's independent organization, and since the People Party has declared it will not demand equity, the Supreme Council repeatedly confirmed that this will not affect the integration."

However, regarding this, Leader Lee expressed some discomfort, saying, "This is something I have not heard in advance. Recently, I have been hearing many new stories from the People Party side."
