According to the Busanjin Police Station in Busan on the 18th, a report was received from A (22), who claimed to have been assaulted by a stranger at a PC bang in Seomyeon, Busanjin-gu, around 2:55 a.m. on the 15th.

A spoke to a woman sitting nearby and was then assaulted by her boyfriend, B, who arrived shortly after. A was hit multiple times on the face and body in the restroom and at his seat, then dragged to the smoking room where, under B’s coercion, he was forced to kneel in front of B’s girlfriend.

A immediately reported the incident to the police station, but an unexpected event followed. After learning about the accusation, B obtained A’s phone number and contacted him. B’s side suddenly threatened to counter-sue A for sexual harassment, claiming that A made sexual remarks and physical contact while speaking to his girlfriend. It is reported that B’s side even contacted people around A with these allegations. However, the CCTV footage from the scene did not show any such behavior.

A said, “It’s true that I spoke to her because I liked her, but when I found out she had a boyfriend, I said okay and immediately turned away.” He added, “I found out that B is a member of a well-known violent gang in the Busan area, so I am worried about possible retaliation.” In fact, B was previously incarcerated in a correctional facility but has been confirmed not to be on the police’s organized crime management list. The police plan to verify the exact facts based on CCTV footage and other evidence and summon B for questioning soon.
