Ate1 Participates in 'Seoul VR?AR Expo 2021'... "Introducing Metaverse Technology Competitiveness"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] KOSDAQ-listed company Eightone will showcase its metaverse business technology competitiveness at the ‘Seoul VR·AR Expo 2021’.


Under the theme of ‘Leading the Metaverse of a Hyperreal Digital Society, Digital New Deal,’ the ‘Seoul VR·AR Expo 2021,’ held for three days from the 16th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, will feature a total of 62 companies including Eightone exhibiting metaverse industry-related products.


At a dedicated booth within the exhibition hall, Eightone plans to showcase its self-developed ▲educational virtual English conversation content ‘VR New York Story’ ▲AI-based real-time multilingual translation video conferencing solution ‘AIITLIVE,’ as well as various partnership metaverse convergence contents.


Choi Cheolsun, CEO of Eightone, said, “The virtual world platform, once considered a distant future mainly centered on the niche gaming industry, has now entered a full-fledged incubation period with the opening of the ‘metaverse’ era, being integrated into various aspects of daily life such as shopping, travel, entertainment, and education. Since competitive metaverse convergence contents and platforms are rapidly emerging as key industries that can lead the approaching non-face-to-face market overseas, Eightone also plans to continuously showcase visible achievements by pursuing diversified business initiatives for proactive market response.”


Eightone has been promoting new metaverse businesses since last year. Recently, aiming to establish a blockchain-based metaverse platform, it launched the ‘Meta City Forum’ in collaboration with public blockchain companies Boss Agora, Yuracle, and BRI (Blockchain Research Institute), and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for VR and augmented reality (AR) content distribution with PICO Interactive (hereafter PICO), the No.1 VR device company in China. Last month, Eightone’s self-developed VR content ‘VR New York Story’ was also listed on Oculus App Lab, the world’s leading VR device brand in market share.
