Gangnam Unnie Implements Penalty Policy for Clinics Posting Fake Procedure Reviews

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Healing Paper (CEO Hong Seung-il), which operates the beauty medical information platform Gangnam Unnie, announced on the 16th that it will implement a penalty policy for fake reviews at hospitals nationwide.

This policy will be enforced starting today. It applies to all affiliated hospitals that require Gangnam Unnie users to write procedure reviews on the app after receiving beauty medical treatments. Specifically, it targets hospitals that ▲force users to write procedure reviews, ▲offer discounts for writing reviews, ▲demand account transfers for proxy writing, or ▲require review deposits.

Gangnam Unnie imposes penalties on hospitals based on post-monitoring and user reports. All fake reviews are deleted from the app immediately upon being reported, and hospitals receiving three reports will not be selected for Gangnam Unnie's recommended reviews. With 10 reports, hospitals are prohibited from advertising within the app for one week, and hospitals accumulating 20 reports will be removed from the app.

So far, 3 million users have written 650,000 procedure reviews on Gangnam Unnie. In particular, Gangnam Unnie has introduced systems such as procedure verification through app consultation requests and payment receipt verification to enhance the reliability of reviews.

A Gangnam Unnie representative said, "Through the introduction of this fake review penalty policy, we will strive to protect fair hospital competition and the medical consumers' right to know through truthful information."
