Gangdong-gu Eco-friendly Urban Agriculture Street Named 'Dosi Nong-eop Sangsang Street'

From Godeok-ro Emart Fountain to Pamix Center Urban Agriculture Street... Utilization of Confirmed Name, Logo, Integrated Image (CI), and Signboard Design

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) announced that after receiving various opinions through a street name contest ahead of creating an eco-friendly urban agriculture street and conducting a review, the name was finalized as "Urban Agriculture Imagination Street."

The district created the eco-friendly urban agriculture street to provide residents with a space for healing and education, present the future vision of urban agriculture, and spread the value of urban agriculture.

As the first step in creating the eco-friendly urban agriculture street, a street name contest was held. The review concluded that "Urban Agriculture Imagination Street," meaning "a street where anyone can participate in and imagine urban agriculture," was deemed suitable as the name for the urban agriculture street practiced in daily life.

From May 26 to June 1, a total of 43 entries were received during the seven-day contest for the urban agriculture street name. After three rounds of review, one grand prize winner, Urban Agriculture Imagination Street, and two excellence awards, Gangdong Nongmaru and Gangdong Chorokbit-gil, were selected.

The finalized official street name will be used externally for ▲logos ▲integrated images (CI) ▲signboard designs, and on June 22, a plaque unveiling ceremony will be held for the urban agriculture and imagination street, the first of its kind in Seoul.

Lee Jeong-hoon, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, "I sincerely thank many residents for their interest in the urban agriculture street name," and added, "Going forward, the district will do its best to promote healthy urban agriculture that everyone can enjoy in daily life and to revitalize urban agriculture in line with the street name."
