Eunpyeong-gu, Youth Career Mentoring 'Alssuljinjjak' in Progress as Part of Resident Participatory Budget Project

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is conducting the 2021 Eunpyeong-gu Resident Participatory Budget Project, a youth career mentoring program called "Useful Career Mentoring 'Jjakgung'" (hereinafter referred to as Alssuljinjjak).

The 2021 Eunpyeong-gu Resident Participatory Budget Project youth career mentoring program "Alssuljinjjak" was proposed by the 6th Youth Education Committee of the Youth Council in Eunpyeong-gu. It matches university student mentors with youth mentees, providing mentoring that goes beyond simple academic guidance to include activities and play, offering various experiences and career and college admission information through university student mentors.

This "Alssuljinjjak" program began with a general orientation held on May 15 by the Eunpyeong-gu Youth Career and Job Experience Support Center, which oversees the project. Active mentoring activities will be conducted from June to November, with a sharing session for all participants scheduled for November 13 to share their experiences.

Sixteen university student mentors from departments such as Computer Engineering, History, and Theater and Film, along with 36 youth mentees, are participating. Additional youth mentees are being recruited through the Eunpyeong-gu Office and the Eunpyeong-gu Youth Career and Job Experience Support Center "Dream Agit" website.
