Kona I, Daejeon Daedeok-gu and Shinhan Card Sign Business Agreement for Daedeok e-Ro-um Check Card Introduction

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Kona I announced on the 15th that it has signed a business agreement with Daedeok-gu and Shinhan Card to introduce the Daedeok e-Ro-um check card, a local currency card for Daedeok-gu, Daejeon.

The business agreement ceremony was held on the 11th at the Youth Bunker of Daedeok-gu Office. Key officials including Park Jeong-hyun, head of Daedeok-gu Office, Byun Dong-hoon, vice president of Kona I, and Kim Seon-geon, head of Shinhan Card headquarters, attended.

Through this agreement, each organization agreed to mutually cooperate to ▲expand the scope of use through the introduction of the Daedeok e-Ro-um check card ▲activate Daedeok e-Ro-um payments ▲seek cooperation plans for smooth service operation of the Daedeok e-Ro-um check card.

According to the agreement, Kona I will additionally link and operate the check card on the existing prepaid card Daedeok e-Ro-um platform. By adding the advantages of the check card such as Samsung Pay payment, transportation card function, and taxi payment at business locations within Daejeon, it plans to enhance payment convenience and promote the activation of Daedeok e-Ro-um. The Daedeok e-Ro-um check card will be available for issuance starting from the 23rd.

Byun Dong-hoon, vice president of Kona I, said, "Daedeok e-Ro-um is evolving into a community platform that strengthens regional cohesion beyond a simple payment method," and added, "We will continue to contribute to expanding the Daedeok e-Ro-um platform by discovering various resident convenience functions and content."

Kona I, together with Daedeok-gu, launched the public delivery service ‘Daeko Delivery’ based on Daedeok e-Ro-um on the 7th. On the 8th, they introduced the online shopping mall ‘Daedeok e-Ro-um Mall.’ An event will also be held until the end of June to commemorate the opening of Daedeok e-Ro-um Mall.
