Over 2,500 Visitors on the First Weekend After Downgrade to Social Distancing Level 1
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The number of visitors to Daebong Skyland and Daebong Camping Land within Daebong Mountain Recreation Valley in Hamyang set a record high on the first weekend after Hamyang County's social distancing was downgraded to Level 1.
According to Hamyang County, a survey of visitors to Daebong Mountain Recreation Valley from the 12th to the 13th showed that about 1,600 people visited Skyland and about 900 visited Camping Land, totaling approximately 2,500 visitors over the two holiday days.
In particular, with the lifting of the boarding restrictions on the Daebong Monorail, which had been operating at half capacity under the pilot social distancing Level 1 reform plan in Hamyang County, ticket sales for the monorail and zipline also doubled.
A county official said, “Due to social distancing restrictions on seating, there were unfortunate situations where people could not get tickets,” adding, “Our county is continuously preparing countermeasures such as facility expansion and operational plan revisions to ensure there is no disappointment in using the facilities, and we will do our best.”
