Guro-gu, Restaurants with Fully Vaccinated Workers to Display 'Safe Sticker'

Over 5,500 Food Service Establishments Targeted for Resident Safety and Local Economic Revitalization... Priority Given to Confirmed Second Vaccine Dose of Restaurant Workers When Designating Safe Restaurants

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will distribute safety stickers to food service establishments whose workers have completed vaccination.

Guro-gu stated on the 15th, "Residents have great anxiety about dining out due to COVID-19," and "We have decided to produce and distribute safety stickers so that residents can use restaurants with confidence and revitalize the depressed local economy."

The application target is food service establishments such as general and rest restaurants and bakeries in the area, among approximately 5,500 locations, where all workers have completed their second vaccination dose and two weeks have passed.

Guro-gu plans to verify the vaccination records of food service workers and allow the attachment of safety stickers stating, "Our establishment's workers have completed COVID-19 vaccination."

In addition, Guro-gu will prioritize reviewing the suitability of establishments with safety stickers when designating Guro-gu Safe Restaurants.

Safe Restaurants are designated among general and rest restaurants that comply with daily quarantine rules such as proper mask-wearing by workers, sharing food with personal utensils, disinfection and ventilation, and hygienic management of spoons and chopsticks.

Once designated as a Safe Restaurant, the location, phone number, and other business information will be promoted on online portal sites and map apps (KakaoMap). They will also receive supplies worth up to 150,000 KRW, including personal plates, sharing containers, and spoon packaging.

A Guro-gu official said, "We hope for active participation from food service establishments whose workers have completed vaccination," and added, "Please actively participate in vaccination, which can be the first step toward daily recovery."
