[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency (TIPA) declared 2021 as the inaugural year for promoting ESG management and announced on the 15th that it held an ESG practice campaign at the TIPA headquarters on the 10th to encourage active participation from internal employees.
The TIPA ESG practice campaign consists of E (Green Office Campaign), S (Mutual Respect Campaign), and G (Integrity Practice Promotion Activities). This campaign was conducted as a Green Office Campaign in celebration of June, the Month of Environment.
This campaign was carried out under the concept of a "Coffee Truck Without Disposable Cups" to reduce the use of disposable products and foster an atmosphere of using reusable items. Director Lee Jae-hong personally handed out beverages to employees from the morning, encouraging the use of reusable products.
In addition, TIPA identified six action tasks for the Green Office Campaign, including using reusable products, cutting off unused power, using eco-fonts, and practicing less waste during work activities.
Director Lee Jae-hong stated, "ESG and sustainable management are values that public institutions must actively lead," adding, "We will strive to create ESG outcomes by faithfully utilizing the small practices of employees and the capabilities possessed by the institution, and furthermore, we will work hard to support measures for realizing ESG management in small and medium enterprises."
