[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] At the first Supreme Council meeting of the People Power Party held after the party convention, promises of change and reform were made. At the Supreme Council meeting, Lee said, "From today, the bold moves we undertake must become the new standard of Yeouido beyond just being new," adding, "It must be a vessel where diverse ideas can coexist, and rather than fear of change, anticipation for newness should become our language."

He introduced, "There are eight bike storage facilities for Ddareungi bicycles within the National Assembly premises," and said, "Although it is probably one of the areas with the highest density of Ddareungi in Seoul, I did not expect my riding a Ddareungi to become such a big issue." He continued, "During commuting hours, the demand for Ddareungi at the eight rental stations inside the National Assembly is so high that it is insufficient, with aides and National Assembly staff frequently using them. Ironically, it is surprising that the sight of a single politician riding one is receiving attention for the first time," sharing his thoughts.

Lee promised, "Without a thorough understanding of last-mile transportation means such as shared bicycles and kickboards, or personal mobility, it is difficult for us to create laws regulating these and foster new industries," and added, "These topics, already familiar to the younger generation but neglected by mainstream politicians, will be actively claimed and addressed."

Supreme Council member Jo Su-jin said, "Although I have only been in politics for one year, being elected as a Supreme Council member is a profound message to listen to the experience of seniors based on passion and vigor and to achieve regime change."

Supreme Council member Bae Hyun-jin stated, "The spirit of the people shown at the party convention is a stern command to have a new perspective, avoid complacency, attempt bold reforms, and definitely achieve regime change," and said, "All Supreme Council members will join hands and cooperate diligently to ensure the party leader's new attempts do not end in failure." She added, "I promise once again to quickly bring many candidates inside and outside the party onto our stage to create a splendid presidential primary stage that the public wants to participate in."

Supreme Council member Jung Mi-kyung said, "During the party convention period, I felt with my whole body how many people long for regime change," and added, "I believe it is our mission as the current People Power Party leadership to beautifully conduct the internal primary process, including Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, Yoon Seok-youl, former Prosecutor General, and Hong Joon-pyo, independent lawmaker, who are outside the party."

Meanwhile, Supreme Council member Kim Jae-won said, "If many matters that need to be discussed or decided at the Supreme Council are all disclosed and announced in advance, the Supreme Council could effectively become hollowed out and unable to perform any role," and added, "I understand this is the early stage and it is inevitable, but I ask that attention be paid within the party to the status of the Supreme Council going forward."
