[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Two of the three suspects involved in a robbery case, who disguised themselves as delivery workers to break into an apartment in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, have been apprehended by the police.

According to the police on the 14th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul arrested two of the three suspects accused of breaking into an apartment, stealing mobile phones and valuables, and fleeing. The police plan to request arrest warrants for these suspects and are continuing to track down the remaining accomplice.

The suspects are accused of entering a high-rise apartment in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam-gu, around 3:30 p.m. on the 9th, claiming they had come to pick up a "package to be returned," threatening the homeowner with a weapon, and stealing mobile phones and valuables before fleeing.

One of the apprehended suspects, Park (51), reportedly hit a 78-year-old man riding a bicycle while fleeing in a vehicle. Fortunately, the man’s life was not in danger. Park is also reported to have collided with parked cars and road structures during the escape.

The police also captured a three-person gang who attempted a robbery at an apartment in Seongdong-gu but failed and fled.

The Seongdong Police Station arrested two of the suspects on the 12th and the remaining one the following day. The police have applied for arrest warrants for the first two suspects and plan to apply for an arrest warrant for the third suspect within the day.

The suspects are accused of threatening a victim and two companions with a weapon around 4:20 a.m. on the 12th as they were returning home, following them inside the residence, and attempting to steal mobile phones and valuables but fleeing when a food delivery worker arrived.

A police official stated, "We have identified and are tracking accomplices who assisted the arrested suspects, and we will do our best for a swift arrest."
