Affect to Promote System Semiconductor Backend Process Business... "Opening Sales Office in Pangyo Innobval"

Through the sales office located in Pangyo Innobelle, Sampyeong-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, A-FACT plans to fully enter the system semiconductor back-end process business. The company intends to deploy dedicated sales personnel and engineers to actively pursue orders. The office is physically close to system semiconductor fabless companies. The company expects this to be a great asset in successfully establishing the new business.

A-FACT has been communicating primarily with major fabless companies since February. Positive discussions are currently underway with several companies. The goal is to secure orders in the second half of the year. While the outsourced memory semiconductor business centered on SK Hynix is being maintained stably, the addition of system semiconductor back-end processes is expected to further accelerate overall growth.

The company explained that it already possesses the capabilities for the system semiconductor back-end process business. A-FACT has completed construction of its second factory in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, consisting of approximately 2,000 pyeong on the first floor and about 1,500 pyeong on the second floor. It is evaluated to have cleanroom infrastructure, a core facility that can sufficiently respond to system semiconductor product production immediately.

An A-FACT representative said, "We will expand the company's business area from the existing memory back-end process to the system semiconductor sector and become a comprehensive semiconductor back-end process company," adding, "Since we are already in discussions with numerous companies, we expect to establish our position in the near future."
