[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Junhyung] The Small and Medium Business Distribution Center under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 11th that it successfully concluded a webinar titled "Small Business Digital Transformation, Why Now?"
The webinar was held at 'K-Art Studio.' K-Art Studio is a support institution for small business owners that operates facilities and equipment necessary for digital content production and entry into the online market. According to the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, the webinar was held to support small business owners' digital adaptation in the COVID-19 era, where digital capabilities have become essential.
The webinar featured a presentation by digital business expert Professor Kim Yongjin of Sogang University on the topic "Digital Transformation, What Should We Do?" followed by a panel discussion. Panelists included Professor Kim Younggap of Hanyang Cyber University, Cha Namsu, Head of Policy at the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprise, and Shin Heewoon, Head of Win-Win Cooperation Team at Wemakeprice. The discussion covered the necessity of strengthening small business owners' capabilities through digitalization and various cases of digital transformation.
Jung Jinsu, CEO of the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, stated, "Digital utilization capabilities are the key to the survival and growth of small business owners," adding, "We will continue to expand support for small business digital transformation through multifaceted approaches."
