Seoul Foundation of Women and Family, National Home Manager Association, and Korean Women Workers Association Jointly Hosted
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Foundation of Women and Family announced on the 13th that it will hold a policy forum on the 16th under the theme "Beyond 68 Years of Exclusion: The Significance and Challenges of Guaranteeing Domestic Workers' Rights" in observance of International Domestic Workers' Day.
This policy forum is jointly hosted by the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family, the National Housekeepers Association, and the Korean Women Workers Association. The forum will review the significance, features, and future prospects of the legislation concerning the improvement of domestic workers' employment.
Additionally, considering the context in which domestic work mediated through platforms is gradually expanding, the forum will examine the current labor conditions and explore policy support measures.
Kim Tae-myung, Acting CEO of the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family, said, "We have prepared this discussion with experts to share the significance and key contents of the Domestic Workers Employment Improvement Act, reveal the increasingly expanding platform domestic work conditions, and seek support measures."
