May's No.1 Game App is 'Lineage M'... 'Trickster M' Emerges as a New Power

Ranking of the Top 3 Mobile App Markets

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Mobile Index, a big data analysis solution by IGAWorks that announces game ranking orders from the three major mobile app markets, released the May mobile game ranking chart based on sales on the 11th.

NCSoft's ‘Lineage M’ and ‘Lineage 2M’ maintained their positions at 1st and 2nd place respectively in the integrated ranking for May without any changes. The 3rd place was taken by Kuka Games' ‘Samgukji Jeonlyakpan’ (Three Kingdoms Strategy Edition), which ranked 5th last month. Samgukji Jeonlyakpan also topped the One Store ranking, entering the top 3 in the integrated ranking. Devsisters' ‘Cookie Run: Kingdom’ and 4399 Korea's ‘Gijeog-ui Geom’ (Miracle Sword) each dropped one spot to 4th and 5th place respectively.

Among the games newly entering the top 10 in this month's integrated ranking, NCSoft's ‘Trickster M’ stands out the most. Trickster M achieved 6th place in the integrated ranking in its first month after its mid-May release. MiHoYo's ‘Genshin’ rose 13 spots from 21st in April to 8th in May, successfully re-entering the top 10. Nexon's ‘FIFA Online 4M’ also reclaimed the 10th spot, rising 4 places compared to the previous month, thanks to its 3rd place ranking on One Store this month.

Games for which One Store played a decisive role in ranking increases are also notable. Gamepub's ‘Final Samgukji 2’ sharply rose from 30th in April to 12th in May on One Store, and its integrated ranking jumped 38 spots to 32nd. SmartNow's ‘Joseon Hyupgaekjeon M’ settled at 31st on One Store right after its release, helping it achieve 29th place in the integrated ranking. Pow Games' ‘Kingdom: Jeonjaeng-ui Bulssi’ (Kingdom: Spark of War) ranked 21st on One Store shortly after its May release, securing 42nd place in the integrated ranking within a short period, raising expectations for its future performance.
