[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] On the 10th, Lotte announced that it donated 200 million KRW to the Lotte Medical Foundation and the Korea Social Welfare Council to support the diagnosis and treatment of developmental conditions in low-income infants and toddlers.

The donation ceremony held at Lotte World Tower was attended by Kim Seok-hyun, Chairman of the Korea Social Welfare Council; Lee Bong-cheol, Chairman of the Lotte Medical Foundation; Yoon Yeon-jung, Director of Bobath Children's Clinic; and Ko Soo-chan, Head of Communications at Lotte Holdings.

Lotte has been supporting detailed developmental examinations and treatments for three years by utilizing the professional medical staff and infrastructure of Bobath Children's Clinic under the Lotte Medical Foundation. This support targets low-income children, including those from single-parent families, and infants who have grown up in welfare facilities or foster homes without continuous developmental monitoring since birth. Since 2019, over 100 children have received developmental screenings, and about 70 of them have undergone concurrent treatment for developmental delays.

This year, due to the nature of developmental disabilities requiring ongoing management, Lotte plans to assess the current status of previously participating children and provide follow-up support to those needing treatment. Additionally, in the second half of the year, group employees will participate in hands-on volunteer activities, gifting handmade baby products to the children.
