[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Jo] SK Telecom announced on the 10th that it has decided to split the company into the surviving company SK Telecom Co., Ltd. and the newly established company SKT Sinseol Investment Co., Ltd. (tentative name). The surviving company will be responsible for business sectors including wired and wireless communication services, while the newly established company will handle the management of equity stakes in semiconductor and New ICT-related investee companies as well as new investments. The split date is November 1, 2021. The split ratio is 0.6073625 for the surviving company and 0.3926375 for the newly established company.
