[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Kangwon Land announced on the 9th that it signed a business agreement with the Public Procurement Service at the High1 Grand Hotel in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, to innovate procurement operations and establish a next-generation procurement system.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ promoting cooperation in contract-related tasks such as contract consultation and contract requests to the Public Procurement Service ▲ successful establishment of the integrated next-generation procurement system project ▲ improving public services through overall cooperation in procurement tasks including innovative procurement. Both organizations agreed to work together to establish a transparent and fair procurement system.
In particular, Kangwon Land will strengthen the expertise of contract operations by receiving support in manpower and know-how from the Public Procurement Service and actively cooperate in building the next-generation Nara Marketplace, a government-wide electronic procurement platform promoted by the Public Procurement Service.
The Public Procurement Service’s next-generation Nara Marketplace construction project aims to completely rebuild the electronic procurement platform, Nara Marketplace, which was launched in 2002, by 2024 based on digital new technologies such as cloud platforms and new authentication systems, and to unify the procurement systems of 23 public institutions.
As a pilot institution for the next-generation Nara Marketplace construction project, Kangwon Land plans to support the successful establishment of the next-generation Nara Marketplace by utilizing its own electronic procurement system, ‘Hainara,’ as a testbed for system integration.
Additionally, both organizations agreed to actively cooperate on discovering innovative procurement demands, supporting market access, public procurement tasks reflecting institutional characteristics, and other matters recognized as requiring mutual cooperation.
CEO Samgeol Lee said, “As a leading company in the mining area of Gangwon Province, Kangwon Land values the trust of the public above all else,” and added, “Through cooperation with the Public Procurement Service, we will strive to establish an advanced system and ensure that a transparent and fair procurement system is firmly established.”
