[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suhwan] A protest was held in front of the Tesla factory in the United States, complaining that Elon Musk, Tesla CEO's successive tweets related to cryptocurrencies affect the market prices.

A group called 'Stop Elon' held a rally criticizing Musk in front of the Fremont factory in California on the 6th (local time), local media reported on the 7th.

'Stop Elon' is a group that declared war on Musk by launching a cryptocurrency with the same name last month. The group set a goal to buy Tesla stocks with the funds raised through issuing 'Stop Elon' coins and to strip Musk of his management rights.

At the protest, the group held signs with slogans such as "We are fed up with (Musk)", "Stop tweeting", and "Stop manipulating the cryptocurrency market," saying Musk exerts too much power in the cryptocurrency market.

Michael Hamilton, a member of 'Stop Elon,' said, "Through this movement, we will buy as many Tesla stocks as possible." He also announced that he would receive voting rights trusts from Tesla shareholders who share the same intention to remove Musk from his position as Tesla CEO.

Last month, Musk suddenly announced the suspension of Bitcoin payments for Tesla cars, causing Bitcoin to plunge more than 10%. He then posted a series of tweets promoting another cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, which led to a sharp rise in Dogecoin's price.

Investors who suffered losses due to the sharp drop in Bitcoin prices criticized Musk for effectively manipulating the market prices.

Recently, the international hacker group 'Anonymous' even sent a warning message, saying, "Many lives have been destroyed because of your cryptocurrency games."

However, Dogecoin investors and Musk's fans launched an online support campaign with the hashtag 'We Love You Elon.'

They posted on Twitter, "Bitcoin investors should stop hating Musk," and "Musk is changing the world in many ways."

Musk replied with thanks or heart-shaped emojis to tweets from some supporters.

Also, after Anonymous posted a video criticizing Musk on the 5th, a netizen posted a rebuttal video, and Musk responded with a comment saying, "Well said."

Earlier, on the 5th, Anonymous posted a video on YouTube criticizing Musk, saying, "You (Musk) have mocked these investors with memes from your multi-million dollar mansion," and "Many lives have been destroyed."

Anonymous also claimed that Musk's support for the Bitcoin Mining Council was intended to 'centralize' the Bitcoin market and bring it under his control.
