[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it has completed consultations with the central government regarding the 'Seoul-style Win-Win Quarantine' policy.


On the 7th, Park Yumi, Director of the Seoul Citizen Health Bureau, stated at the regular COVID-19 briefing, "The Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Central Accident Response Headquarters, and the Central Quarantine Countermeasures Headquarters have submitted the first round of consultation results to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters," adding, "Basically, consultations with the central government have been completed."


She added that the specific details will be finalized soon and the final plan will be announced. Director Park said, "We have almost finalized the specific details of the Seoul-style Win-Win Quarantine to be implemented soon," and "Once the final plan is ready, we will announce and implement it."


Regarding the introduction of vaccine incentives, she also mentioned that the final plan will be announced after gathering opinions from autonomous districts.


Director Park said, "We have almost gathered opinions from the autonomous districts," and added, "We will revise the final plan based on what the autonomous districts, central government, and Seoul Metropolitan Government can do, and announce the implementation plan as soon as it is prepared."


Meanwhile, from the 29th of last month to the 5th of this month, Seoul conducted special inspections targeting singing practice rooms and found 69 violations. This special inspection was carried out on 212 establishments in 13 karaoke-dense areas.


Among the violations detected, there were 5 cases of illegal operations involving helpers (13 people) and 26 cases of alcohol sales. There were 38 cases of violations of quarantine rules such as business restrictions. Seoul plans to impose business suspension and other penalties on these establishments.
