Preparing and training for the mock employee project during last year's non-face-to-face job competency camp
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Chang-woo Lee) is recruiting local subsidy operators to carry out the 'Practical Job Competency Camp' project aimed at strengthening the employment capabilities of job seekers in their 20s and 30s.
The Practical Job Competency Camp is a project designed to enhance job seekers' employment capabilities and increase their employment success rate through job experience and specialized employment education.
The main contents include ▲ job understanding education by occupation (such as understanding job descriptions) ▲ small group mentoring between employees (mentors) of large and medium-sized companies and participants (mentees) ▲ performing mock job tasks, etc.
The district plans to increase the employment rate by linking camp participants to employment through social headhunters after the camp ends.
Participation in the camp is targeted at unemployed youth under the age of 39 who are residents of Dongjak-gu or graduates (expected) of local universities, and the operation period is from August to December.
Eligibility requirements include corporations (for-profit and non-profit), organizations, and facilities capable of performing projects related to youth employment linkage and competency development, vocational competency development education for job seekers, and job competency education for workers (companies). Corporations, organizations, institutions, and facilities established for political or religious purposes are excluded.
Applicants will be recognized as qualified if they score 70 points or higher through an interview evaluation including proposal presentations and Q&A sessions, and selection will be made in order of highest scores. The final selected candidates will be announced in July.
Corporations and organizations wishing to participate should bring required documents such as the project plan and local subsidy application form and submit them by June 25 either by visiting the Dongjak-gu Job Policy Division (2nd floor of Dongjak-gu Office) or by email (k7101415@dongjak.go.kr).
For more details, please check the announcements on the Dongjak-gu Office website or contact the Job Policy Division for guidance.
Yoon So-yeon, head of the Job Policy Division, said, “We hope that many organizations and institutions with expertise and experience in this field will show interest and support to help strengthen the employment competitiveness and job-seeking abilities of young people in their 20s and 30s, whose employment opportunities have become even narrower due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.”
