Young People Meeting Hong Nam-ki "Please Expand Support for Buttress Loans"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Young people requested an expansion of support for the Youth Buttress Loan during a meeting with Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and Minister of Strategy and Finance.

On the 3rd, Deputy Prime Minister Hong visited youth housing in Yeongdeungpo and medium-sized public jeonse housing in Anyang to review follow-up measures for supporting housing stability for low-income and middle-class households. This visit was conducted to experience the policy site from the perspective of actual policy demanders affected by the measures.

The youth requested an expansion of support for the Youth Buttress Loan provided by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG). In response, Deputy Prime Minister Hong empathized with the housing concerns and difficulties faced by young people and stated that the suggestions raised would be reflected in future youth housing policy formulation.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong visited the medium-sized public jeonse housing complex 'Anyang Mirae Town' and inspected areas for improvement before occupancy. He emphasized, "In the case of public jeonse housing in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, the average competition rate for applications reached 27:1, so we will supply public jeonse housing as planned."
