Temporary Organization Approval for Special Self-Governing Joint Preparation Body 'BooUlGyeong Joint Promotion Team'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] The preparatory organization for the establishment of the 'Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Special Local Government,' the 'Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Special Local Government Joint Promotion Team,' has completed its organizational structure.
On the 13th of last month, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam agreed to locate the Joint Promotion Team's office in Ulsan Metropolitan City and to establish the organization in Busan Metropolitan City.
Accordingly, administrative procedures related to the establishment of the organization were carried out, including consultations with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for approval as a temporary organization, and on the 1st, the Ministry approved the Joint Promotion Team as a temporary organization.
The Joint Promotion Team is composed of 1 bureau, 2 divisions, 6 teams, and 25 members, and will be established as a temporary organization in Busan Metropolitan City.
The deputy heads of Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam will serve as co-heads, with a secretary-general overseeing practical affairs, and the divisions and teams will be responsible for sector-specific preparatory tasks.
The workforce will consist of public officials dispatched from Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam.
The Joint Promotion Team will prepare key tasks such as drafting the special local government charter and internal regulations, discovering jointly performed affairs, and establishing a basic plan to execute them.
After the office construction is completed and legislative and administrative procedures such as the amendment of the ordinance for establishing the temporary organization are finalized, full-scale operations are expected to begin at the end of July.
The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Special Local Government is being promoted with the goal of launching next year. With the completion of the Joint Promotion Team, the first gateway for establishing the special local government, the establishment of the special local government is expected to become more active.
