Mokpo City Operates the God’s Business Strategy Academy

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Seunghyun] Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it will operate the 2nd session of the ‘God’s Business Strategy Academy’ to support small business owners' flexible response to market trends.

The city invited Kim Yujin, known as the ‘Korean-style God of Business,’ as the instructor, and will conduct this academy for 8 weeks starting from July 27 at Hadang Youth Culture Center.

Eligibility for support includes small business owners who have been operating for more than 6 months as of the announcement date (3rd), with resident registration and business locations in Mokpo City, specifically those located in Pyeonghwa Square and Mat-ui Street.

The city will select 30 small business owners with strong intentions for business improvement and growth through a final interview.

Applications will be accepted from the 7th to the 18th, and detailed information about the program can be found in the city’s website notices and official announcements.

The ‘God’s Business Strategy Academy,’ first held last year, was conducted with enthusiastic participation from small business owners and resulted in effects such as increased sales. According to a survey conducted by the city, 97% responded that they were very satisfied, and 78% of the attendees reported an increase in sales.

A city official stated, “We expect that this academy, held amid the prolonged economic downturn caused by COVID-19, will greatly help improve the management capabilities of small business owners.”
